The X-Ray webisodes aren't exactly crucial to the overall plot but they are fun extras.more time spent with the characters is always a good thing.the webisode involving Amos and Bobbie was probably my favorite thus far but the Episode 4 Clarissa one was also interesting because it reveals the fate of an important character from earlier seasonsĬlick to expand.I really don't think Lord of the Rings or Wheel of Time had anything to do with it.the issue is that The Expanse just wasn't the watercooler buzzy pop culture icon Amazon wanted/hoped it would be.not enough viewers is the simple explanation.I don't really blame Amazon.Bezos saved the series and we got 3 more seasons BUT the story is not complete and that's what will always stick with me.great series but incomplete.looking at Season 1 of Wheel of Time and it seemed to get way more buzz then any of The Expanse seasonsĮxpanse was a thinking person's sci-fi made for hard core fans of the genre.I also think that starting off on SyFy and jumping to Amazon midway through didn't helpĪs far as the budget for Season 6, the showrunners stated that Amazon came to them with a number.they could have chosen to do 8-10 episodes within that budget or cut it down and make each individual episode more expensive.they chose the latter.the season feels like a normal season and not a 'final' one.it's a very good adaptation of Babylon's Ashes/Strange Dogs but it doesn't feel complete to me.Bechko will be joined by artist Alejandro Aragon, co-creator of the recent series Resonant from Vault.
